Runtastic Pedometer Step Counter & Walking Tracker PRO app review: take a step in a FITTER direction

Reviews

Introduction

This is a very neat little app that you can use on your iPhone and iPad to keep track of your walking or running sessions by counting data such as the number of steps you’ve taken, how much distance you’ve covered, your daily caloric intake, and loads more.

The best iPhone apps for running

I’ve come across so many different step counter and pedometer apps within the Health & Fitness category that it often becomes difficult to tell them apart, given that the features are usually more or less the same.

Runtastic Pedometer is definitely a step above the rest, not necessarily because it offers wildly different functionality but more so because you can so blatantly see the amount of expert effort that has gone into its development. This is a great app that you’ll definitely want to take on your next walk!

The Journey of a Thousand Miles...

Runtastic Pedometer Step Counter & Walking Tracker PRO is definitely one of the better pedometer apps that I’ve had the pleasure of using. I’m particularly pleased to see that the developer has taken full advantage of the iPhone 5S’s M7 processor, not to mention the awesome iOS 7 interface design.

With this app, you can very easily monitor and calculate everything from your speed and distance covered to the frequency of your steps. There is also a very cool 1,000 Step Beep that, as you might have guessed, will sound every time you complete a thousand steps

The developer has also seen fit, if you’ll excuse the pun, to offer integration with your iTunes Music Library, allowing you to easily import your favorite songs to jam along to while you walk or run your way through each session.

What’s more, you’ll be pleased to know that you can also share all of your sessions with your friends and family online via Facebook and Twitter, which is the perfect way of bragging to the world about your newfound healthy lifestyle!
