iRis Interactive app review: patient simulator
Introduction
iRis Interactive is a fairly useful eyesight app for iPhone and iPad that has been designed to provide budding optometrists with a patient eye simulator so that they can practice and learn about various optical conditions in a convenient mobile format.
The best counselling apps for the iPhoneAs someone who hasn’t the faintest idea about optometry I can’t really comment on the accuracy or efficacy of this
eyesight app, but I can definitely state with some confidence that it works very well and should at least provide some relevant information to all you up and coming opticians out there.
Virtual Eye Simulator
What we have here is an interesting addition to the Medical category of the App Store that allows you to use a virtual eye patient to simulate a range of optical conditions including both excess strength and muscle weakness around the eyes.
The best first aid apps for iPhone and iPadWithin this app you’ll find full coverage of cranial nerve lesions for all aspects of eye movement and reflexes, as well as details of corneal reflex, eye tracking, and two forms of papillary light reflex.

Create Custom Eye Pathologies
iRis Interactive includes some examples of other various eye pathologies and there is a very handy feature that you can use to create your own customizable pathologies to more easily identify issues in patients.
Best iphone and ipad appsReally what this app amounts to is some funky looking eyes on a screen, or at least that’s my uneducated perception of it!
Either way, I would definitely recommend considering it because you might it instrumental in your learning as a student of eye-related medicine.
