Drawing, Painting & Sketch Pad Free app review: create simple art on your IOS device
Introduction
If you like to draw, or your kids like to draw, there are tons of options available in the App Store. Some of these apps have a lot of bells and whistles, and while it’s nice to have a lot of choice, there’s also something to be said for simplicity. If you simply want to have fun drawing without having to worry about spending an hour or more trying to figure out how an app works then you may want to check out Drawing, Painting & Sketch Pad Free. It may not be the best drawing app out there, but it does a credible job and you’ll be drawing in a matter of seconds. This is a free app and it’s compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.

Artistic Creations
Drawing, Painiting & Sketch Pad Free is never going to compete with the big boys in the drawing app category and it doesn’t try to. This is meant to be a simple app that anybody can use without any previous training in art or apps designed for professional artists. If you’re looking to make a career as an online artist this is probably not the app you’re looking for, but if you just want to have a little fun with the kids on a Sunday afternoon then you may want to check this one out.

This app certainly has its shortcomings. There are lots of ads in the form of banner ads on every page as well as full page ads that will pop up if you don’t touch the screen for more than a few seconds. There’s also not a lot of choice, just a few basic colors and the ability to change your brush thickness. If you want lots of choices look somewhere else. This app will require 7.7 MB of free space on your IOS device.
How it Works
When you open the app you’ll see a familiar looking screen if you’ve ever used a drawing app before. Most of the screen is white space which is your drawing pallet. At the bottom of the app is a pallet of ten colors to choose from and an eraser if you want to erase part of your drawing. At the top you’ll see a settings wheel – from here you can adjust the diameter of your brush and its hardness. You can also adjust the basic hue of the colors within this settings tab. Once you’re satisfied with your changes you can tap on done to return to the main app screen. You can either save your drawing to your camera roll, or share it on Twitter and Facebook. That’s all there is to it.

Final Words
If you want a basic drawing app without all the bells and whistles then you may want to have a look at Drawing, Painting & Sketch Pad Free. This is a simple app with very few options but it works well if all you want to do is doodle. If you’re leaning towards becoming a professional artist this is probably not the app for you.
