ICE Standard by About The Kids Foundation is the Emergency Standard Card App for your mobile device.
An emergency standard card provides critical information to first responders in the case of an accident. It contains all of your personal information such as name, date of birth, allergies, or existing health conditions.
ICE standard is a digital version of your emergency standards card on your mobile device. Just like an actual card it contains all of the important information needed by emergency first responders. It also has a photo to identify you by and is color coded based on whether you have allergies or existing medical conditions. Green means you are free from concerns, yellow means you are currently taking medications, and red means you have severe allergies or medical ailments.
First responders can use the information in this app to ensure that you get the proper treatment and that they are up-to-date on your medical history. The app also provides your emergency contact numbers and can be set as your lock screen background making it quick and easy to find.
ICE Standard was last updated to Version 1.3 on February 12, 2013 and included updates for newer devices, improved wallpaper, and minor bug fixes. There have been 33 reviews for this app with an average score of five out of five stars.
I believe this app is an invaluable tool that everyone should have. It could mean the difference between receiving proper care and possibly dying.
